Here are some of the projects I’m involved with at the moment.
My album of Irish traditional music on uilleann pipes, Australian Waters, is available for purchase or streaming on a range of platforms.
Trioc is an Irish traditional music trio with Allan Evans on harp, flute and whistles and Cameron Hibbs on fiddle. We’ve played a bunch of gigs around Victoria and have appeared at festivals including the National Folk Festival, Newstead Live and the National Celtic Festival. Our album, A Fair Wind, was released in 2017.
ELISION Ensemble is an internationally renowned collective dedicated to contemporary classical and experimental music. They’ve incorporated uilleann pipes in compositions including ‘Anchor in the Road’ by Liam Flenady and ‘the angles which wound me’ by John Aulich, with more in the works.
Horsley & Williams Duo is a collaboration with recorder virtuoso Ryan Williams. We’ve been working together for about 15 years now and have collaborated with Georgian choirs, Baroque musicians and more. Our album, Extinct Drones, was released in 2024.
I’m the President of the Celtic Piping Club, an organisation dedicated to providing community and resources to players of a range of bagpipes. Our activities including festival appearances, workshops, concerts and an annual weekend retreat in Castlemaine.
