FAQ

Will the food at the wedding be kosher?
Yes, catering will be provided by Kosher Classique, under the supervision of Kosher Australia.

Is there a dress code?
Yes, the dress code is semi-formal. The day centres around a religious ceremony, so please kindly dress in accordance with Jewish tradition. You’ll find more detail here. The suggestions listed for Conservative or Orthodox weddings are a great guide. We request that all men wear a kippah for the ceremony – these will be provided if you don’t have one. Feel free to ask us if you have any questions!

Will it be cold?
Yes, August is a cool month with daytime temperatures up to 15°C (59°F) but can get as low as 7° (44°F). You can also expect some rain. The ceremony will be outdoors so bring something warm to wear!

Is there parking?
Free parking is available in the streets around Rippon Lea Estate. Limited parking is available onsite by prior arrangement if you have accessibility needs.

Are kids welcome?
Yes! However, there are no special childcare arrangements.

May I take photos?
We respectfully request that all cameras and phones be turned off during the ceremony. We look forward to sharing our professional photos after the big day.

Should I bring a gift?
The main thing we’d like is for you to come along and celebrate with us! But if you’d like to contribute something more tangible, our registry is here.

Are there any other events before or after the wedding?
We’re working on this and will be in touch with people individually. Keep an eye on your email. We will be heading off soon after the wedding to honeymoon! The weeks before the wedding will be busy but if you are in town, we would love to spend time with you, so let us know if you’re around!
